O... sweet Gymnasio ♥
So I am not only a Yoga fan, I am also a gym fan. I think I would fall into the "gym rat" category. Don't get me wrong friend's I LOVE yoga, Love, Love, Love. I actually first started going to the gym after having practiced yoga for about 2 years and decided I wanted to loose a little extra weight, build more muscle, and gain more endurance. I haven't stopped since. Wow... how time goes by.
ANYWAY, I started off with 24 hour fitness which I thought was a pretty cool gym, depending on what location you go to. Some facilities can be... well.. not so inviting. I am now a member at L.A. Fitness in Eastlake and well, if you haven't been there yet, it's actually a very nice gym with new machines, people that are really into working out, looking good etc. I think I am a different kind of gym person though. I don't enjoy making friends at the gym, running into people I know, or making eye contact with anyone. I am totally not anti social I just like to go to the gym and enjoy my sweet time with the cardio and weight machines. I don't want to share this limited time I have every time I go on chit chatting. I figure If I want to talk to someone I can call, email, text, visit, or go out with them. Am I totally weird? Don't think i'm totally evil, I have run into people I know there a few times and if they initiate conversation I will talk and polite, but it's not a favorite thing of mine to do.
OK, the reason why I am writing about the gym is to see what kind of gym person you are. Are you the kind of gym person that has to go with someone to keep you entertained? Do you socialize while you are trying to get your heart beat up during your cardio? Do you go into the ladies locker room often during your work out to check your hair and makeup? Do you go to meet fellow gym go-ers and perhaps score a date? Or are you kind of a nut like me and like to be the sweatiest girl in the facility, don't care about how you look because you are there to kick booty not impress anyone (except your neighbor on the treadmill next to you that you are trying to out run) and even bring a change of clothes because you don't want to leave a trail of sweat where ever you go?
The best is, getting in a nice long run (at least what I think is long) and finishing up my work out with a Yoga mini session... ahh..... so relaxing... such a nice treat for your kick butt work out at the gym... YOGA.

Tag! You're up!
THERE ARE FIVE RULES:
1. Post these rules.
2. Post a photo of yourself and 11 random things.
3. Answer the questions set for you in the original post.
4. Create 11 new questions and tag people to answer them.
1. I have 3 brother's and 0 sisters so I was kinda a spoiled brat growing up.
2. I have owned 7 dogs through my life, 3 bird's, 2 snakes, a turtle, a mouse (I rescued this from my snakes cage) all at different times! Yeah! I like to move on.
3. I think I have a little ADD, I get bored with things really easily.
4. I feel worse when I see commercials about animals that are starving then I do when I see the commercial's about the people. (Am I horrible) I just feel like people can help themselves.
5. I was a total gym/yoga rat and am trying to get there again. Yoga and 2 hour gym day everyday! Good times.
6. I don't like to use bad word's, my mom taught me that they were not lady like. ( I hold listen to a lot of funny mom advice)
7. The last time I yelled at the top of my lungs was because I saw a cockroach. They are the most disgusting things on this planet. (Sorry bug lovers)
8. I haven't ever been in actual snow. Maybe one day I will go ski or something.
9. I have a blankie, Yes, I do. It's a baby blue and wonderful, and I have a REAL hard time sleeping without it, kind of an incomplete feeling.
10. I don't like wearing makeup. I really don't, mainly because of my mom, she always told me I would get older faster if I wore makeup. (Crazy mom idea, engraved!) GEZZ
11. I'm pretty good with sling shots. I used to line up bottles on a tall wall as a kid and would break them with my sling and little stones. Then I would get chewed out by my grandma, in TJ you used to have to turn in a bottle to get a bottle so YEAH.... I got in trouble a lot.
♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ Questions from Kai !♥
1. What is the best book you have read lately?
Well, I always like to think that the best book that I have read lately is the one that I am currently working on. ♥ At the moment I am reading "Yoga & the path to true self" It's really quite interesting. I recommend it to everyone.
2. Do you believe in Love at first sight? why?
I do for certain things like a dress that you see at Anthropologie, or those super cute shoes that you see everyone posting on their blogs, lululemon gear. As far as for people... no. I believe you need to learn about a person and fall in love with who they are not what you see. True beauty is within.. at least I think, so how can you spot that when you first "see" someone?
3. Who is one person you would love to meet? Alive or Dead.
4. Where do you see yourself in 5 Years?
I see myself trying to figure out what paintings to get to change up the look of my future yoga studio. Perhaps setting up a class called "Yoga for Kiddos" while my future baby attends. ♥
5. When is the last time you put your foot in your mouth? I really cam't remember. I'm pretty good about being honest and saying what I really think and how I really feel so I usually don't regret anything that I say...
6. If you could eat one thing for the rest of your life, what would it be?
AW MAN!! This is HARD! It may have to be something a little complicated that I can eat several different ways like, Hot pot, I can have noodles plain one day.. have soup another.. mix up the meats, have wraps.. Yup Vietnamese food is magic!
7. Who do you look up to the most in your life?
Is it odd to say that i don't really look up to anyone. I think everyone is just perfect the way that they are and we should never strive to be like anyone. We should strive to find ourselves, be who we are and set our own goals. Did I totally go off track? lol.
8. Where do you find inspiration to write? Every day life sillies that happen to me or that I see going on around me. I think I should start carrying a note pad around.
9. If you could be on any Reality TV show, what would it be? FUN! I would LOVE to be in Real Housewives of Orange County. I would be like Pauly D. in Jersey Shore, there is a ton of drama going on around him and he just sits back, watches and gets a kick out of things. Never a dull moment.
10. What is your biggest fear? Loosing my parents, Enough said.
11. What is a saying that you use all the time?
"Remember honey, just take a deep breath" or "I'm sure"

Margaritas with Yoga?
You Win Margarita.
Yesterday I was thinking and started to feel a little guilty about being SO into Yoga the whole practice of it, what you are supposed to achieve through it, being pure at heart, soul and in your body.
The reason why I started to feel guilty was because I enjoy Margaritas SO very much. Is it bad to LOVE margaritas and yoga? I thought about it a while and came to the conclusion that NO! It is not bad to LOVE both. The more love for different things the better! Besides the O mighty one just wants you to be at peace within. Margaritas bring me a little peace and a little smile.
Also, I know quite a few Yoga teachers that not only are they spectacular instructors but they enjoy little "not so healthy" items and a few work at bars.
There is also thing called "Vino and Vinyassa" that I have seen a few studios offer here and there. Student's practice yoga for a good hour and after the class everyone sits around and enjoys a few glasses of wine. So, I think it's safe to keep Loving both don't cha think?
I think my students would be OK with it as long as I don't ever show up a little intoxicated to a class. hahaha!
Can anyone say "Yoga & Margaritas"? What a night that would be at a studio!

Using your Om
A U M
One way to help you de- stress, un- wind, take the edge off during your day no matter what is going on or where you are, is closing your eyes, taking a nice big inhale through your nose hold it for 3 seconds and slowly exhale through your nose as well. Repeat a few times and you will see how much peace and clarity this simple breathing technique will bring you. That being said the Breath is O so powerful in your yoga practice. Pranayama, the yogic practice of regulating and channeling one's breath, can provide a bridge between the individual self and the universal soul. Imagine that! Reaching your SOUL simply my learning to control your breathing, letting go, freeing your mind.
But for those of you who are not trying to reach your soul this way just quite yet, it may save you a ton of finger flying in traffic, face burning from frustration when someone cuts you off, moving side to side and looking all around during a long starbucks line. So next time you need a little extra patience, clarity, or just want a little extra warm fuzzies, take a nice big Breath in and release with control.
Namaste-
