Margaritas

oooh.... Margaritas!

I will begin my journey tomorrow night.
I have been a Margarita girl since I can remember.  Well since I became legal T.J. drinking age.
I have had Margaritas at countless amounts of places.  Some are so awful that after one tiny sip I have to immediately return it and try not to gag and some have been so extremely wonderful that I have had to close my eyes after a sip because it taste so wonderful.

No friends I am not an alcoholic, but I really do appreciate the art of making a fantastic Margarita.
If you know me, you know that I know, and LOVE margaritas.

I like cosmos, and other girly drinks and  have tried to steer away from Margaritas many, many times to mix it up but, I always quickly come back to tasty Margaritas.

So when I said "tomorrow my journey begins", by that I meant OUR journey begins. I'm going to start writing  about Margaritas I have at different places and let you know where you should go for your next refreshing Margarita.

SALUD Y BUENA SUERTE fellow Margarita makers.

30's are GREAT!

30 and Feeling good...

Phil (my fiance) and I decided to have my 30th birthday bash at Vin De Syrah in Downtown San Diego.  It was recommended to me by my very cute and bubbly friend Jackie.  When she mentioned this place to me I immediately knew that it was going to be a really neat place since she has the same taste in many things as I do.
I looked this place up and thought it was PERFECT!  If you guy's have not been yet, I strongly recommend it.  It's actually a wine parlor but they have a full bar and Dj's on weekend nights. Decorations are awesome.  It's like you went down the rabbit hole in Alice in Wonderland.  Check it out! It was a blast! Thanks to my wonderful Phil that put it together for all of us to enjoy.
These pretty girls are Jackie (in the turquoise dress) and Wendy.  They had all the cool dance moves going on this night on the dance floor.
                                                            My Fiance Phil and I.

As you can tell, I decided not to go with the gold sequence dress from Arden B.  I tried a few on from good "ol" Nordstom but they just didn't feel right and I didn't really have time to go to Arden B. in downtown, So... I went this this sparkly Black dress by one of my favorite famous people "Jessica Simpson" to be honest I don't usually shop Jessica Simpson items even though I really like her.  It's not really my style.  Since it was my 30th I decided to make an exception this one time.

So, I am 30. It's not bad at all.  In fact I feel exactly the same just like people said I would.  The only difference is that I have been practicing some cool new yoga moves since last Thursday.  It's a lot more complicated to get into scorpion pose than what I expected even with the assistance of my lovely wall.
this is what scorpion pose is supposed to loos like.  Do I look like this?  NO.  I think i'm stuck in Dolphin pose for a while.. I can get one leg up but then stir up a little fear and come back down.  Ill update you guys in two weeks by posting a picture of myself attempting it.  You guys can be my witnesses of my progress.  Every month I'm going to pick a new pose to throw into my mix of practice.  One that I am afraid of but want to face and perfect.  Yes.  This is me at my 30's.  I'm ready for more challenges of life!
Bring it Yoga! Bring it 30!

The big 3-0!

I have been thinking about what I want to do for my 30th birthday for about a year now.  My birthday is now less than a week away and I still don't know what I want to do.  Should I A) Have a romantic night with my fiance by going to dinner and a lounge. B) Get bottle service at a night club Downtown or C) Go bar hopping with a bunch of friends?  I think we may go with option C).  If so this is what I think I will wear or something similar to it.
A) ROSE                                                                                       B)PALE GOLD             They are both under $100!! Im hoping the back is a little more open than the front.  I have been wanting to purchase a sequence dress for some time now and I think this is the perfect occasion.  The question is... Which one is cuter? hmm... I kinda like A.
Dirty 30 here I come!!!!

I found YOGA!

Why Yoga?

Many years ago I was at a time in my life when I needed something new, something fresh, something that would help me see things a little more clearly.  Yoga was fairly new to a lot of people that I knew so I thought I would check it out and see what it was all about.
I came across a Bikram Yoga studio in Mira Mesa.  Cost: $10 for a week, so I thought "hey what do I have to loose".  I signed up walked into the heated room after reading a long list of rules. I wanted to walk out immediately.  It was like an oven in there and it didn't help that it was the middle of summer, I was wearing 3 layers of tops and long thick work out pants.  I lost 2 layers of tops sat down and tried to focus on my breath.  I was used to this since I used to panic a little in stuffy places, crowded places... what do you call it? Claustrophobia.
The instructor walked in a couple minutes later in ity bity shorts and I thought what the heck did I just get myself into. Sure thing, about 5 minutes in all I could think about was walking out of the class and why the hell anyone would pay money to be in a horrible, horrible situation like this where you are stretching in ways you have never stretched before, the person beside you is flicking their sweat on you, the class reeks of old sweat, the teacher is yelling to push harder and hold a posture for an extensive period of time, and you think there is no way in hell I can go any further leave me alone you F_ _ _ing B_ _ _ _!!  All I was trying to do was survive the next 45min or so.
Then the end came. Sweet, sweet SAVASANA.  This is why people pay money for Yoga.  A sneak peek of all the wonderful things you have inside, a peek of the real you, PEACE, BLISS.
I fell in love with that un-explainable feeling.

Testing.... testing....

So this is Blogging

I have wanted to start a blog for some time to talk about a lot of non sense but I get easily distracted with all the other things that happen in our every day lives.  I have MANY interests so my postings may be a little random.  My fiances cousin Cathy has quite an elaborate Blog where she writes about food, restaurants she has been to,and recipes she has learned.  I hope to one day get to her level of blogging, but to be honest I don't think I will because again, I get easily distracted.
I was starting my second paragraph and was about 8 lines in when I decided that what I wrote was not as cool as I initially thought it sounded.  I wonder how many times we all backspace because we think what we wrote was not "so cool"
Well, hello blogging world Ill make my page nice and fancy soon until then....   keep checking in for real posts.

I may even give away some yoga classes with yours truly for creative responses. :)
